FAQ

  • How early should I book in advance?

I recommend as soon as possible! You won’t regret it, and you’ll check-off a box on your never ending wedding to-do list.

Booking within 2-6 months before your event ensures that we lock-in that time solely for you!

Since we are only able to take about 1-2 preservation per week, (& we book out quickly during the busy wedding season!) order your frame as soon as possible to not be disappointed!

We take order as far out as 1-year.

  • How long does the process take?

Whether you choose to press or dry your flowers, this portion of the process takes up to 4-6 weeks of drying, it really all depending on Mother Nature’s plans!

Full turn around time is currently 8 weeks to 3 months+ depending on the busy wedding season. This time allow me to give your flowers the attention and care they need to become a work of art that you can keep forever!

  • How long do pressed or dried flowers last?

When you take care of your frame, your flowers should last forever! This means keeping your frame out of direct sunlight, and in non-humid areas like the bathroom or kitchen. However, since we are working with organic materials, color fading over time is completely natural and normal. (but we think this only adds to the character and beauty over time!)

  • What is the difference between dried and pressed flowers?

Dried flowers are hung upside-down during their drying process. They will hold some of their original shape and dimension.

Pressed flowers will be put into a flower press for drying. They will be sandwiched between layers of paper and come out flat and paper thin.

    Both are beautiful options!

  • What is the difference between a shadowbox and a float frame?

Our Shadowbox Frames have a 1.5” depth, so this means we have space between the back of the frame where we secure your flowers and the front glass pane. These are great for both dried and pressed flowers providing space for depth and dimension.

Float frames refer to frames that have two glass or acrylic panes, and your flowers are essentially “sandwiched” between them. You’re able to see through your frame to the wall behind it giving a more modern look. This type of frame is very popular right now and only pressed flowers can be used in this style.

  • What flowers cannot be pressed?

There are some flowers that just don’t press or dry well, therefore we do not/ can not include them in a final arrangement.

Succulents - some people do dry succulents but we currently do not have the capacity to dry them at this time. I recommend that you take them out before sending them to me, and repot them!

  • My flowers are already dry, can you still work with them?

Of course! Our shadowbox frames are a perfect option, go to our shop to see your options

  • How do I know what size my bouquet is to determine which size frame I should order?

Here’s an average for bouquet sizes, but every florist is different.

Flowers Stem Counts for mixed bouquets:

    Small: 10 stems

    Medium: 18-20 stems

    Large: 25-30 stems

Also having an idea of where you would like to hang your frame and the space available helps you choose the frame size that will best suite you!

  • Do you have resin options?

I do not. Due to resin’s toxic nature and my current studio capacity, I do not work with resin.
